On Tuesday, May 11, Governor Doug Ducey signed SB 1485, a bill that will remove more than 200,000 voters from the permanent early voting list. It’s a bill that will suppress many of the voters who often use this method to exercise their right to vote. Most of the groups who will be affected by this include college students and people of color.

Arizona voting advocates including ASA plan to hold a press conference at the State Capitol, Rose Garden on Wednesday, May 12 at 9AM PST to speak against this new law. ASA believes that it’s another strategy that’s being used to stop Arizonains from voting. It is against our democracy and we would like to call on Senator Sinema and Senator Kelly to take action and protect our freedom to vote.

You can also take action by attending the press conference Tomorrow, May 12 and speak up for a free Arizona. This is not what democracy looks like and it needs to be stopped.
